**Important Note to Parents – Please Read** As you all know, the safety of our students is a top priority. We need to know where our students are at all times. We are having to implement a few reinforcements to our policies to help all of us (students included) in our daily routine. Please note the following policies: 1. Do not drive around to the back of the building between 7:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Driving around back during school hours can turn into a huge safety issue for everyone. Please come through the front door of the youth building so that we can keep up with who is on the school grounds and keep our students safe. 2. TARDIES: If you are dropping your child off for school, always drop them off at the front door. If it is after 8:10 a.m., a parent must accompany the student into the building and sign them in. The student will then receive a tardy slip to give their teacher. Too many tardies will result in disciplinary action. Tardiness not only affects the student who is late, but it also affects everyone who is already in class (on time) and the teacher who will already be starting the day's work. 3. The front door will be locked during school hours for everyone's safety. All visitors must come through the front door, then sign in and obtain a visitor's pass at the front desk. We will exchange a pass for car keys to assure that visitors sign out before leaving. Thank you very much for reading through this and understanding our need for implementing these changes. We love all the students dearly and want to make sure that they are in the safest environment that we are able to give them. |
